SpeeRead - Instruction System for Speed Reading and Effective Learning Body and mind relaxation plays an important role during the optimized speed reading training. When we learned to read we went through the first steps of the training reading out loud. Thus, we have acquired the reflex of the vocal cords movement associated with the act of reading. This reflex is preserved, but it passes imperceptibly when we go to speechless reading. It limits our reading speed and the ability to understand and memorize. Relaxation is one of the keys to overcoming this barrier. Read on to learn how relaxation can help you achieve superior performance when you go through optimized quick reading training programs from SpeeRead. When we start the actual training in optimized fast reading, the first step is to train our eyes to learn to move faster on any text. With the training of our eyes, we will learn also to read and understand the words marked with a colored cursor that moves over the text. This cursor tracking action is becoming more difficult to achieve at the first steps of the training. However, this effort is absolutely necessary in order to train the eye muscles and the ability to process faster the information from the text.
When the cursor speed increases, we make an effort to track it and to read and understand the words marked by it. Automatic, vocal cords will be subject to greater effort on our part. Although it seems natural to do so, this additional effort directed to the vocal cords rather blocks our performance because it consumes excessively the psychic and physical resources allocated to reading. Through repeated exercise, the brain will eventually understand that the solution is the gradual relaxation of vocal cords and not their strain. Optimal performance in fast reading starts at 900-1000 wpm reading speeds, where vocal cords moving stops naturally. Like any elastic strings also the vocal cords lose their ability to vibrate if the frequency that drives them is too high. This phenomenon occurs naturally when we achieve reading speeds of 900-1000 wpm. Even training in this range is easier than at lower speeds. It seems paradoxical but anyone can convince itself, through training, that this is the way thinks happen. When we start the daily training session directly from a relaxed state, we will encourage faster learning of these brain and vocal cords processes. That is, we will better understand and apply relaxation to the vocal cords. The secret of optimized rapid reading is the learning of new reflexes. First, the gradual relaxation of vocal cords as the reading speed increases. And secondly, the transition to speech-free reading after we exceed the reading speed of 900-1000 wpm. From this level, the ability to comprehend and memorize the text is greatly optimized because all the mental and physical resources that were previously allocated to the involuntary and imperceptible movement of the vocal cords are mainly transferred to the processing of the meaning of the information you read. If you want to experience the use of early relaxation while attending the fast reading training, you have the demonstration route available. Find a suitable piece of relaxation music and start listening it, close your eyes and try to relax your whole body and mind for 3-5 minutes. Afterwards go through the demonstration route. In an other day you can experience the same demonstration route but without relaxation.
